You were born to be great.
But you have been lied to.
The media wants you to believe that greatness is sexy, it’s not.
It’s dirty hard work.
You were born to be great, but some of you look in the mirror and all you can see are your flaws.
We were all designed perfectly, with purpose.
But we don’t entirely believe it.
We see mistakes or flaws.
One of the most gratifying feelings is knowing we are in control of our destiny. We choose how we react or don’t react to life.
Also remembering everything that happens is an opportunity to learn and grow.
When we take personal responsibility for what happens to us is when we learn how in control we sincerely are.
Now I did not always believe this or get on board with this. I felt like people were out to get me and I still struggle with the why me stuff; we are not immune and this takes constant work.
But I pull myself back and say ok, what are my options. We always have options, we may not care for all of them. Also, some options may take work. Its easier to stay the same.
Over this last year Tony and I have had to reinvent our schedules 6 times. For whatever reason, we could not find a rhythm with what we felt was best for our family.
It was frustrating, caused us to have lack of focus and I fell into a victim mentality several times.
Each time we had to shift and change directions, I got frustrated with why can’t something work. When it was all working, we were just trying to find the right option for us.
But by shifting and trying new things each time, we learned what worked and truly what didn’t. We learned what we wanted and what was important to us.
I understand that I feel so much better when I work out. With all the schedule shifts I had to step back and say, how do I make sure this time for me always happens?
For me personally, I had to go to bed earlier and get up a bit earlier to make sure I got to the gym first thing, because if I left that workout to happen later, it always got pushed off or something else was more “important”.
This does not work for everyone, but I encourage you to look at what is working and what needs to change. Stick with it for a few weeks and adjust as needed.
I know this all sounds so simple and it really is; we are the ones that make it hard or frustrating.
Reasonably we control our outcomes in life; most of the time it’s are we willing to do what it takes.
The great thing is you were born to be great!
You woke up today, so let’s make this day the best one yet. I encourage you to stay focused.
Focusing on your health is one thing you will never regret and it impacts everything you do.
When you want your goals bad enough you will do what it takes.
You will continue to have obstacles but they are there to build you into the person you are destined to become…keep running from the obstacles.
It helps to have a coach. Over the 10 years we have been in business we have had a coach for 8 of those years. We would not be where we are today without people helping us along the way.
A good coach knows how to hold you accountable, push you, is a voice of reason and has the uncomfortable conversation. (Multiple times if needed, 😉)
If you are looking for a coach in your life to help you be Great, just reach out!
Life is going to change and shift a hundred times but remember you always have options.
