Some of the best advice I have ever received was win one day at a time.
It sounds so simple.
For a lot of us the goal is pretty big and it can get overwhelming.
We keep pushing each week only to feel like we fell short.
When you take a weight loss goal it can get very overwhelming:
Where do I start?
I have so far to go.
I have no energy, time, motivation…
The list can go on for any goal.
But what I love about adding up the wins is taking it day by day.
One step at a time.
If we keep focusing on the overall huge goal we forget to add up all the small things we did each day that build up and eventually, yes, we reach that big goal.
So, I encourage you no matter what you are working towards, win one day at a time.
Win one meal, one workout, one obstacle.
I use my google calendar and then I take it a step further and I actually use a paper planner.
It allows me to see a week at a time broken down by the day.
Then it has an area for lists. I put every week my workouts, my grocery time and my cooking time on there. Cause if it doesn’t get scheduled it doesn’t get done.
I work through our personal stuff, then business stuff.
Each day is planned out a week in advance.
Does it always happen exactly like I planned not always…
Then Tony and I sit down and review what’s happening the next week, sort of a family/business meeting. Keeps us on the same page and how to support each other.
The best part is at the end of the week, my list rarely ever has everything checked off, but I can see what did get accomplished. They were small wins that will certainly add up.
What’s your small win?
Do them daily and see them pile up!
Sounds simple, right?
Win your day today!
