Starting the Business
It all started 7 years ago when Arin and Tony were introduced while working long hours in a medically based fitness facility in Indianapolis. They were both feeling a little disappointed about the integrity of the fitness industry and the facility they were employed through did not value the education and knowledge that a Fitness Professionals provided. Based on value, integrity, and passion, Arin and Tony decided to start Transformation Fitness and Wellness. They wanted a Fitness Facility that would give clients an educated solution while maintaining the integrity of the fitness industry. They also wanted to make sure all the Fitness Professionals on staff have the education and skill set to stand by the title Fitness Professional.

Staying Focused
Tony and I have built a very successful business for ourselves and it all goes back to perseverance, commitment, and hard work.
We weren’t always successful.
I grew up in a family of musicians. My mom, my dad, my brother, all of them were amazing. Each of them could pick up an instrument any instrument- and master it quickly. Me, not so much. I can barely hold a tune. But that didn’t stop me from finding my amazing passion. In 6th grade I discovered the thrill and the high of running. Mind you, I wasn’t that good. I was running my behind off only to come in last. My family’s encouragement to me was to just beat one person I stayed committed.
I stayed focused. I started envisioning winning races in my head I watched the high school girls and pictured myself doing the same thing, I watched track races and the Olympics and suddenly it happened! Seventh grade came and so did the blue ribbons. I wasn’t last anymore. From Struggle to Victory
Tony understands struggle completely he came into this would and struggled for life!
He was born premature and instantly pulled from his mother’s arms and placed on a ventilator to stay alive. He spent the first 16 weeks of his life fighting to stay in this world. Even as an infant, he persevered. He fought for life and won. But the struggle did not stop there. By the time he was in second grade he was struggling with his grades! Some of the teachers considered him lazy and or dumb, but with further testing he was diagnosed with dyslexia. At that time they did not understand that people with dyslexia learn different than the traditional methods. Still to this day he learns and comprehends different than most.
Just when you think you are winning the battle of life you are tossed a curve ball. Nine days before Christmas when Tony was 8 years old his father was killed in a car accident. It changed his life forever! His mother did the best she could raising 3 boys on her own. Let’s just say his childhood was not a walk in the park! But, he learned at a young age you have to be in charge of your own destiny And if you want something you have to go make it happen for yourself. And Finally…
Tony went on to get Masters of Science in Biomechanics graduating Cum Laude.
So with perseverance, commitment, and hard work we opened our doors for Transformation Fitness and Wellness on October 30, 2007…great timing, especially going into the recession. Our parents thought we were nuts! We had a vision and a passion to help our community become healthier and that continues to drive the direction of TFW.
